RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Management of Power Transmission projects to complete route selection and environmental assessments
• Leading a multi-disciplinary team to complete environmental assessment and permitting reports and applications
• Providing senior review of technical reports, proposals and communications
• Making presentations and representing the Client at meetings
• Client service and business development in the power sector
• Ongoing communication with stakeholders and regulators
• Preparing proposals
• Providing leadership, supervision, training and mentoring of junior staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in the Natural Sciences, Engineering or Environmental discipline
• A Minimum of 5 years of Experience, or a Master’s Degree with 3 or more years of equivalent experience
• Previous power transmission, pipeline or linear corridor experience with permitting and report writing for environmental assessments and compliance
• Knowledge of the provincial (Alberta) and federal regulatory regime for power project development
• Knowledge of other provincial jurisdictions would be considered an asset
• Proven project management skills
• Exhibiting excellent technical writing, communication and project management skills
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated people skills and the ability to work in a team
