Our client is currently looking for an experienced Sr. Project  Manager in our Land Services Division to join our team in southern Alberta. They are a  Western Canadian professional consulting firm with 33 years of experience in delivering project  management, surface & mineral land acquisition, public consultation, and administration services. They are an experienced and diverse group of professionals that also offers a full range of complimentary environmental and safety services including emergency response planning, environmental assessments, EFR’s, full reclamation and remediation. Responsibilities & Duties:

. Project Management – single point of contact for clients, field staff and surveyors
. Coordination of the surface & mineral acquisitions for client’s projects in Central and Southern Alberta
. Responsible for the training and supervision of office and field staff
. Lead participate in “Problem Solving” meetings between clients, landowners and other stakeholders
. Prepare reports and status updates to clients on projects
. Prepare, lead and attend Surface Rights Board (SRB) hearings for/with clients
. Up to date Knowledge of Surface Rights legislation and regulations
. Responsible for all aspects of the project ensuring timeline, deliverable and budget are met for our clients

Qualifications:

. Minimum 5 years project manager / coordinator experience
. Valid Alberta Land Agents License
. Valid Alberta Commissioners for Oaths Appointment
. Ability to travel, must possess valid driver’s license
. Legal authorization to work in Canada
. Competent computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and iLand
. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and collaborate with others
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

SCOPE:

• Reporting to the Project Manager, the Process Engineer will be responsible for coordinating all process related aspects through Engineering Design Specification, Detailed Engineering & Procurement phases for projects.
• Coordinate EPCM efforts with respect to Process requirements related to pipeline and facilities engineering
• Interface with various Engineering personnel to ensure that all aspects are taken into consideration within the design
• Ensure design meets applicable standards
• Participate in development of Pre-commissioning, HAZOP and Commissioning Plans for effective project design and construction

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with respective Engineering personnel in development of process design criteria, process flow diagrams, Process Instrumentation and Control Diagrams, heat and material balances, valve sizing
• Review all process design documentation and calculations
• Recommend design changes or improvements based on knowledge, experience and input from site personnel
• Participate in formal design, model and risk reviews, Haz-Ops & Haz-Ids

• Participate in development of pre-commissioning plans

• Development of Relief, Blowdown and Flaring Philosophy
• Development of Isolation Philosophy

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 8-10 years experience in process design
• Expertise in process calculations on HYSYS®, FlareNet®
• Completion of Chemical/Process engineering degree and registration with APEGGA and eligibility as a Professional Engineer in Alberta
