This position must be astute in US HR Labor Laws, such as EEOC, Affirmative Action, Comp/Benefits, Staffing/Recruiting, Employee Relations, Strategic Planning. They will report directly to the HR Director in Houston, Texas and a dotted line report to the President of the Business Unit in Calgary. They will commute between Calgary and Houston and other international locations. Travel is at least 30% of the time. This is a DOER position. This is a stand alone role.

Integration Consultants are the client interfaces of our client.

They work with clients and prospective clients to evaluate their challenges and propose solutions to those issues.

They manage the consulting projects and ensure that the agreed solutions are developed on time and according to specifications.

They deliver the solutions to the clients and teach them how to use the new software and processes.

DESCRIPTION:

Integration Consultants need to have an excellent understanding of the Oil and Gas E&P industry.
They need to have strong technical skills to implement and integrate the applications at client sites.
A good understanding of project management processes and have excellent communication skills since they act as the communications pipeline between the developers and analysts and the end users.

Integration Consultants spend a majority of their time working at the client site.
In addition to delivering consulting projects, they are responsible for ensuring that the enterprise applications are being used to their fullest potential and to provide feedback to the internal company management.

As the Integration Consultant’s schedule is often driven by Client needs and schedules, an Integration Consultant needs to be able to work a flexible schedule.

Integration Consultants will have the opportunity to expand their technical and industry knowledge and to move into other key roles.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Meet with clients to gather requirements, analyze clients’ needs and propose solutions
• Coordinate client communications
• Install and implement the applications at the client’s site
• Educate clients on the use of the software
• Provide onsite technical support

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Experience as a Technical Consultant (programming experience – C# is a plus, proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server databases, proficiency in SQL – data manipulation, understanding of XML)
• Understanding of project management processes, excellent communication skills – both oral and written, positive attitude and ability to work with all personality types
• Strong understanding of the oil and gas exploration and production industry
• Experience with petroleum economic evaluations tools and concepts
• Understanding of reserves reporting concepts is a plus
• Understanding of E&P financial planning is a plus
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Willing to work in a fast paced and highly interactive work environment
• Both a Computer Science Degree and Oil & Gas related experience.
