JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Manager, Software Development, you will be part of the team that is responsible for the development and support of our Data Services and Product Lines. This involves the building of database processes and algorithms for manipulating and storing large amounts of data, and the development of our client’s custom functions and procedures.

Specifically, your duties will include the following areas:

Develop Oracle functions and procedures to exchange data between different Oracle databases.
Develop and maintain database functions and procedures for our Services applications.
Support day-to-day operations for our database.
Work with our Data Services performance tuning.
Analysis of production-related database issues
Provide technical support for clients (as required).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong analytical and problem solving skills,
Strong working knowledge of Oracle DBA best practices (e.g., schema management, index optimization)
Strong query and database tuning skills
Capacity monitoring and management capabilities
Fast troubleshooting and resolution skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities
Effective team player who can establish and build effective working relationships with co-workers and customers
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to develop technical specification documents and user guides.

SKILLS:

Excellent organizational and time management skills
High completion drive; results oriented
Able to work independently, but exhibit excellent teamwork with co-workers
Able to work in difficult conditions and tight deadlines

Technical Skills:

1 – 3 years of Oracle DBA experience (10g or 11g)
1 – 3 years of Postgres DBA experience
SQL and PL / SQL skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Requires a post-secondary degree or diploma or course enrollment with a focus in database development.

Key Accountabilities

Prepare formal legal land contracts to implement deals negotiated by Negotiators
Communicate terms of Agreements and consequences to stakeholders
Understand and interpret existing land agreements to facilitate operations and decision making
Understand and interpret existing land agreements to handle queries/demands from both internal and external sources
Handle on-going contract maintenance issues

Education and Experience

Related post-secondary education

Responsibilities:

Our client is a junior oil & gas company and they require an oil & gas administrator for a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

JV Nexus/AFE Nexus

Enter AFE’s and facilitate approval process
Save/print and maintain yearly AFE Binders
Send AFE’s to partners and document transmittals for reference
Export and upload AFE’s in to JV Nexus
Create and enter Costcenters & WI masters into JV Nexus
Review and create supplemental AFE’s and enter into our JV Nexus system and notify partners as necessary

Accounting/Payables/Receivables/Production

Assist with data entry and filing as needed
Assist with cheque runs as needed
Mail out all JV payables and receivables (JIB Link may eliminate)
Send all production accounting charts and tickets to (DGL) monthly

Corporate Treasury Support

Assist with the quarterly reports, President’s messages, letters to directors, board meeting minutes, resolutions etc.
Book the AGM and assist where needed with shareholder packages and documentation
Prepare for board meetings

Operations

Records management for wellfiles and JV filing
AFE management
Maintain corporate well list
Assist with operations duties as needed
Maintain JV files, online file lists and assist with contract agreement support as needed
Assist with marketing letters/contracts, information and filing

Office Management

Maintain and order supply cupboard
Coordinate any IT support and maintenance with Glenbriar Technology
Organize any extracurricular office activities ie. Golf tournament, Christmas Parties, Team building
Fundraisers, Christmas food drive, United Way
Pitney Bowes/Pitney Works (stamp machine)
Couriers- Mercury Messenger/T2P/Purolator
Greet guests
