EDUCATION:
Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology with Process Piping option
Certification preferred but not required
EXPERIENCE:
4+ years
Drafting, Design, CADD support
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Extensive work with P&IDs, piping plans and sections and piping isometric drawings
• Occasional work with pile location and support details
• Conceptual design and production of piping systems
• Supervise project team with evaluations, wage reviews, skills development
• Update drafting standards for drawing packages
• Review drafting quality and implement corrective actions
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Piping design experience within an oil and gas or EPC environment
• Excellent computer skills including practical knowledge of Computer Assisted Drafting/Design (CADD)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Pro-CAD piping suite, Excel, Words, Outlook
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge in preparing P&IDs, Piping Plan and Sections, and Piping Isometric Drawings.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of selecting and placement of pipe supports, and equipment layout
• Possesses strong knowledge and application of discipline specific design criteria, codes, standard practices and design theory
• Prepares clear, accurate and complete drawings using practical design knowledge
• Participates in design coordination with engineers and other disciplines in the development of complete drawing packages
