Lab Technician, Research Chemist 101-273 – Edmonton, Alberta
Our client is an Alberta based company started in 1996. Their primary focus is the distribution and manufacturing of production and process chemicals. Their customer base ranges from small chemical manufacturers to Oil and Gas Service companies and Oil and Gas Production companies.
Summary Job Duties:
- Sample preparation and quality control of specialty chemicals and field samples.
- Perform analytical tests using wet chemical and instrumentation methods.
- Data entry and laboratory record management.
- Receiving and shipping chemicals or sample material.
- Laboratory development of oilfield and specialty chemicals.
- Able to write and review technically sound recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience working in laboratory setting – oilfield analysis an asset
- A degree or diploma (B.Sc., PH.D in Chemistry, Engineering or related field) preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, including excel, power point, and email communication.
- Excellent work ethic.
- Sets good example for others and promotes a positive environment.
- Technically competent with advance skills for trouble shooting production problems and implementing solutions.
