Director Information Technology Recruitment 900-011 – Calgary, Alberta

Client Service

  • Develop and promote our expertise as an IT recruitment/contract model through existing and prospect organizations.
  • Be the strong value added IT recruitment lead delivering high quality search and selection.
  • Provide BOWENs clients with a strategic business understanding predominately within the Information Technology and Search environments.

Candidate Service

  • Harvest a group of talent that can meet the needs of this new IT initiative
  • Manage relationships with candidates and assist in negotiating contracts and assure timely and high quality deliverables

Internal Relations

  • Promote teamwork that supports the “corporate good” and the best interests of BOWEN’s candidates and clients.
  • Meet all deadlines on special projects as assigned.
  • Take immediate corrective actions internally and externally if links in the recruitment process are weakened or unsustainable

Recruitment Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with leading edge IT consultants
  • Interview and inform candidates regarding available positions and other general employment inquiries.
  • Market new opportunities.
  • Create a strong IT recruitment arm to BOWEN
  • Receive calls from clients regarding permanent/contract orders or proposals.
  • Lead the client and candidate through the holistic lifecycle of the search.
  • For the guarantee period following follow-up with the client and candidate to ensure the satisfaction of both parties is essential.
  • When necessary, “archive” the candidate in the ADAPT database after the job search is completed.

Client & Candidate Retention Activities

  • Meet with clients and prospects on a regular basis (through lunches or visits to their office) regarding their current or potential permanent/contract recruitment needs.
  • Attend BOWEN’s marketing events throughout the year to develop relationships with clients.
  • Follow-up regularly with existing clients, and harvesting new relationships
  • Cross-sell all of BOWEN’s services.
  • Attend sales calls with Customer Relations when appropriate.
  • Participate in the organization of Candidate Relations activities.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly Consultants’ meeting.
  • After interviewing candidates, complete all necessary data entry in regards to their skills and characteristics.
  • Upon receiving a permanent/contract order, enter all relevant information into ADAPT.
  • Using ADAPT templates, type letters, reference sheets and fax cover sheets.
  • Update the Position Manual on an annual basis to reflect adjustments to this position.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years industry experience or related background in contingency search
  • Proven track record as an Account Manager within the IT arena
  • PMI or PMP designation preferred
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of client relationships.
