Production/Exploitation Engineer 101-257 – Calgary, Alberta
The successful Candidate will be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide production and exploitation engineering expertise. With the opportunity to work in a fast paced and challenging environment for a dynamic, growth orientated company – excellent pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
• Provide engineering support and work with the area asset team to evaluate and develop existing and new producing areas
• Monitor and optimize the depletion strategies of new and existing pools
• Monitor daily production volumes and work closely with Operations to address operational issues, optimize production and reduce operating costs
• Identify and execute optimization projects including recompletions, liquid unloading, backpressure reduction and compressor hp utilization
• Provide engineering input and guidance in the design and execution of completion and stimulation programs
• Prepare economic evaluations for development and optimization projects
• Provide cost estimates for capital projects and approve AFE’s and related invoicing
• Assist in the formulation of annual area production and operating budgets
• Provide preliminary scoping for proposed facility & pipeline construction projects and work with Operations & Facilities Engineering groups to finalize these designs
• Ensure compliance with ERCB regulations with respect to production testing and annual testing requirements
• Track operated and non-operated capital expenditures
• Assist in the calculation and accuracy of corporate reserves
• Liaise with Production Accounting, Financial Accounting, Marketing and Joint Venture departments as required
Educational and job experience requirements:
• APEGGA Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with 10 years of Production engineering experience
• Exploitation and Facilities engineering experience would be an asset
Software knowledge:
• AccuMap, Fekete Software (Piper, VirtuWell, MBA, RTA), Peep
