Position Description Summary:
• Perform all aspects of 2D and 3D Land and Marine seismic data processing.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Processing of seismic data from frontier areas and areas of high structural complexity.
• Perform geophysical parameter testing as appropriate on assigned projects.
• Work as part of a small processing team to ensure smooth production and maximum quality control.
• Coordinate with senior and other technical personnel to ensure maximum efficiency in running projects.
• Support testing and evaluating of new software and methodologies.
• Help prepare technical reports on geophysical projects.
• Ability to mentor lesser experienced staff and new hires.
• All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Minimum B.Sc. Degree in Geophysics, Physics, Geology, Mathematics or similar field of study.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of Land/Marine seismic data processing experience.
• Hands on experience and technical understanding of all aspects of Time pre-processing for Land and Marine 2D/3D seismic data.
• Reasonable technical understanding of PreSTM and PreSDM theory and practice for Land and Marine 2D and 3D seismic data.
• Experience using ProMAX processing software.
