Reservoir Engineer 101-249 – Calgary Alberta
The successful candidate will report to the Manger, Reservoir Engineering and be accountable for providing leadership for facility process engineering design and operation.
This contract position will be based out of our Client’s main office in Calgary and offer the potential to be a full time, permanent position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include, but not being limited to the following:
- Contribute as a member of a multi-disciplined oil sands team to provide input into the reserves assessment and reservoir modeling;
- Provide input, direction and assessment/evaluation on existing oil sands assets;
- Identify and coordinate technical data gathering & analysis;
- Assist teams in assessing project risk and uncertainty on capital programs;
- Work with Reservoir Engineering staff in practical and analytical processes for implementation into their work processes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILL SET:
- University degree in Engineering and a registered APEGGA member;
- Minimum 8 – 10 years related industry experience directly involved with oil sands reservoir engineering aspects;
- Experience with advanced Decline Curve Analysis, OFM, Reservoir Simulation & CMG Suite and Exotherm is an asset;
- Highly organized with excellent analytical, integration and project management abilities;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team focused skills; and
- Results oriented, decisive and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
