SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The candidate will be responsible for prospecting, developing and closing sales of the company’s products, and for being the prime contact between the client and the company thereafter. You will also work closely with the company’s manufacturer’s representatives and other lead generation sources to identify potential business.
The ability to initiate and build strong client relationships is essential.

MARKET:
All industries requiring high volumes of high-purity deionized or softened water (e.g. the electrical power generation industry, Oil & Gas production and processing) and those requiring gas purification (sulphur removal).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and qualify sales opportunities, prospect for new clients, develop working relationships with prospective clients, finalize the preparation of proposals, prepare business cases, perform formal sales presentations, and undertake active client follow-up, through to closing.
Develop sales strategy and conduct market research in targeted verticals (based on the Strategic Selling Model).
Coordinate the Sales Quotation for direct customers and distributors.
Prepare sales strategy, methods, customer profiles, and references.
Assist in preparation of press releases, newsletter articles, case history articles, technical articles and direct mail materials.
Maintain Users Lists, Reference Lists, Customer Satisfaction Surveys and Client Status Summary.
Review:
Client’s Request for Quotation (RFQ) and specification documents to recommend compliance/exception strategy for Company’s response, completed Engineering Survey Form and Proposal.
Provide all design information required to Technical Solutions department to enable preparation of technical proposal.
Act as the primary contact and sales support person for assigned sales agents and manufacturer’s representatives.
Conduct Project Meetings presenting the sales orders from start to finish, to other company department staff members’ ensuring the equipment is built to the customer requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST HAVE:
- Water Treatment Industry experience
- Process Equipment
- Chemical Engineering
- Capital Equipment Sales
Three (3) year College Diploma, or University Degree (Chemical Technology and/or Engineering background an asset).
Minimum five (5) years sales experience, preferably with Capital Equipment and/or Engineering Systems
Adept at Strategic Selling Process
Demonstrated ability to uncover, manage and close sales opportunities
Self-directed/self-managed discipline
Demonstrated ability to build relationships for mutual business success
High degree of interpersonal skills
Proficient use of the English language (verbal, written and presentation skills)
Extensive travel required
Use of own vehicle: compensates $0.46/km
Willing to work out of a home office and be independent
