Manufacturing Accountant – Bilingual French/English 101-225 – Calgary
OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working in a team environment, the Accountant will be responsible for all account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, profit & loss statement analysis, commission calculation, inventory reconciliation and be the first line for questions from the branch or division that you provide service for.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing and providing various reports and calculations
Reviewing financial statements
Analyzing accounts and following-up on any outstanding items on a monthly basis
Bank reconciliation including clearing cheques on a daily basis and preparing and recording deposit information
Preparing and posting journal entries including back-up documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicable Designation or working towards an Accounting Designation (less than 1 year remaining)
Bilingual in French and English
Experience with high transactional volume required
Experience working with multiple branches and divisions
Experience in general financial accounting including month end procedures
GL account reconciliation and analysis
Have a combination of education and work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work well in a fast paced busy environment
Advanced Excel and PC skills
Work well in a team environment
Well organized, excellent memory and attention to detail
Able to meet tight deadlines
Able to work with minimum supervision
