Financial Document Specialist 400-108 – Calgary, Alberta
Our Client is a leading asset-based lender providing loans, leases and other financial structures to a broad variety of companies representing a wide range of industrial sectors including construction, forestry, manufacturing, transportation, a wide variety of other commercial equipment and business property.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Document Specialist will report to the Regional Manager, Administration.
Responsible for ensuring that all documentation required in a financing is correctly received, properly completed, and that the necessary registration to protect the client’s position are executed.
They also provide support to regional branches as required in completing security documentation.
Compiling documentation submitted by Branches prior to financing
Ensuring compliance to OTR/SIP, credit authorization, pricing and corporate policies
Providing legal support to Branches and authorizing disbursements
Communication discrepancies to Branches and exercising follow-ups
Responsible for overseeing the supervision of various Operational functions & Documentation Specialist staff, ensuring there is a diverse, engaged, high performing team environment
Drive productivity initiatives to improve efficiencies and execute on business commitments
Maintain process control mechanisms to ensure compliance with business practices and contractual or regulatory requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Administration
5 years experience in Legal Documentation preparation and registration with a financial institution or a legal firm would be an asset
Any combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered
Very good understanding of provincial security registration system
3 years previous management/supervisory experience leading teams
