101-192 Field Operator – Sousa Camp Position

Basic Functions:
? Act as onsite operator of the Field Equipment and shall perform all work and services ordinarily performed by an operator for the management and operation of the Field Equipment, including without limitation
? Day to day operation, inspection, maintenance, alteration and repair of the Field Equipment;
? Testing, sampling, the keeping of accurate records and the preparation and submission of all necessary documents and reports, all in relation to the Field Equipment.

Relationships:
? Reporting to Area Foreman
Specific Responsibilities:
? Good oil and gas field practices and all applicable laws, statutes, orders, rules and regulations of any governmental authority having jurisdiction over the Field Equipment, including without limitation those relating to environmental, health and safety standards and the following: All Provincial Energy and Utilities Boards, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, The Workers’ Compensation Board and agencies dealing with Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Work Place Hazardous Materials Information Systems and Emergency Response Plans; and
? All of the Corporation’s rules, guidelines, policies and procedures in place from time to time and applicable to the conduct of operations relating to the Field Equipment
? Use personal protection equipment necessary to meet all current regulatory requirements and the Corporation’s health and safety policies
? Promptly notify the Corporation of any:
- breakdowns or defects in the Field Equipment requiring replacement or repair;
- unsafe conditions;
- security problems;
- accidents and incidents affecting health or safety or resulting in personal injury;
- incidents resulting in impairment of the environment
- incidents or losses to the Field Equipment; and
- third party claims.
? Take whatever action that it considers reasonably necessary for the protection of life, health, property and the environment in the event of fire, flood, storm, explosion, serious accident or other similar causes or any emergency
? Obtain written approval of the Superintendents or designate prior to conducting any operations relating to the Field Equipment that are beyond the scope of day to day maintenance and operating activities, including without limitation, any non-routine maintenance, repairs and alterations, any modifications, expansions, deletions or additions to existing facilities, the removal of existing facilities or the installation of new facilities
? The Field Operator shall also provide such additional services in relation to the Field Equipment as may be reasonably requested by the Superintendent from time to time
Qualifications:
? Require 5+ years direct field experience, valid operator certification and a working knowledge of regulatory requirements for the O&G industry.
? Preference will be given to candidates with journeyman trades, technical certification or steam tickets as well as work experience in a sour gas field.
? Willing to work in a camp environment, with 8 days on/6 days off work schedule.
