101-191 Production Engineer/Technologist – Calgary
Our client is an independent company whose primary goal is stable growth through quality reserve acquisitions, maximum operational efficiency, and property development. Confinement of operations to a limited number of geographic areas, coupled with an experienced and professional staff, enables our client to maintain a technically superior, yet cost effective operational capability. They are a global oil and gas producing and operating Company headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
They are seeking a PRODUCTION ENGINEER/TECHNOLOGIST for their Calgary, Alberta office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Will be responsible for HSE program, Integrity Management, production reporting, some regulatory reporting/submissions, operations invoicing processing
• Deal with field operations, optimization and lowering operating expenses
• Assist/support ongoing development projects by providing some reservoir engineering/reserve support, production operations support in the form of program generation, nodal analyses, pipeline modeling
• High degree of interaction with other functional groups to include accounting, production accounting, land, joint venture, as necessary
• Coordination of daily production reporting and invoicing
• Provide engineering support to the operators – some field travel required
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5-10 years’ experience in Western Canada with preference to natural gas operations
• Sour experience is an asset
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements in BC,AB, SK
• Experience with service and unit agreements preferred
• Downhole workover and recompletion experience is required
• Ability to read and interpret both openhole and production well logs
• Good working knowledge of plant and well optimization
• Possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Self starter with ability to anticipate needs and problems
• Possess strong problem solving qualities with the ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task and handle several projects, tasks with short deadlines
• Strong Microsoft Office application’s skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Familiarity with the FEKETE suite of engineering software or equivalent
• Registered/Certified Technologist or Professional Engineering status
