101-177 Field Foreman – Whitecourt
Basic Functions:
To ensure that the operational area is supporting the corporate objective of delivering operational excellence through leadership with active supervision. This will include:
? Meeting all internal and regulator safety and compliance standards.
? Ensure that all areas meet or reduce operational budgets..
? Assist the Corporation in its goal on being average or lower than average on per unit opex as compared to our peer group..
? Ensuring all staff has the capability and motivation to perform their role in their areas of responsibilities..
? To foster a culture of support, open communication and team work within the field and business unit.
Relationships:
Reporting to Manager, Northern Operations
Specific Responsibilities:
? Manage large scale sour gas plant facilities.
? To develop an industry leading operational team within their areas
? For the training of all staff in both operational competency and EH&S to corporate standards.
? To provide active supervision within the operational area such that first had knowledge is evident.
? To manage operational budget such that expenditures outside of budget, if any are approved prior to being made.
? To review operational metrics (volumes, costs, reliability and compliance) on a monthly basis with staff and Superintendent. Report variances with action plan where applicable..
? To evaluate operational cost to Ziff and develop plans to close variances above Ziff average..
? To actively participate in EHS audit program to ensure compliance..
? To participate in team meeting at a minimum of 1 per month.
? Ensure all staff are treated fairly, with respect and give proper feedback.

Qualifications:
? 15 + years direct field and supervisory experience, valid safety certification and a working knowledge of O&G regulatory requirements. Preference will be given to candidates with sour gas plant experience, and based out of Whitecourt with journeyman trades, technical certificates or steam tickets.
