101-172 Exploitation Engineer – Calgary
Basic Functions:
? Forecast and track existing production volumes.
? Identify exploitation opportunities, both technical and economic, to maximize asset value.
? Develop long-term depletion strategies for producing reservoirs.
? Implement depletion plans for company assets.
? Conduct economic analysis of projects and capital spending alternatives using the PEEP software program.
? Prepare annual reserve evaluations in cooperation with an independent reserves engineering firm.
? Prepare summaries of results from capital expenditures, such as workovers, drilling, etc.
? Perform additional administrative duties as required, such as updating project status reports.
Relationships:
? Reports to the Manager, Central Business Unit Team.
? Works with multi-discipline team including Production Engineer, Operations and field staff, Joint Interest Rep, Geologist, Geophysicist, Landman, Marketing Rep, Production Analyst, etc.
Specific Responsibilities:
? Develop and quantify depletion strategies for assigned areas/assets.
? Forecast future production volumes, prepare capital budgets, and steward results including annual reserves for existing producing wells/pools.
? Identify optimization opportunities, technology applications, and value maximizing initiatives on a proactive basis.
? Lead the execution of development/exploitation projects (i.e project manager).
? Assist JV staff with the assessment of non-operated assets.
? Perform economic evaluations including capital projects and A&D initiatives.
Qualificatios:
? P. Engineer with 7 – 12+ years of experience in oil and gas.
? Enthusiastic, highly motivated, team player with good organizational and technical skills.
? Willingness to do what has to be done to meet and exceed targets.
? Creative individual with a desire to continuously learn and develop their skills.
