Our client is currently searching for a Staff Risk Engineer with provision of independent risk engineering services to the development projects execution teams to ensure appropriate and managed Engineering Standards have been employed through the project development phase of assets. You would also be responsible to provide major projects with technical risk engineering support from inception to completion. Key Accountabilities
• Provide a technical query resolution service for non-routine technical issues associated with major projects.
• Provide advice to the PMO team and major projects teams on risk engineering matters ensuring engineering and relevant legislative standards are maintained.
• Ensure all risk engineering standards for all major projects have been adopted by the project teams and that regular compliance audits are conducted and reported to PMO.
• Provide technical support and advice to major incident investigations for major projects.
• Participate in SQAD reviews and project risk workshops.
Successful candidate would have Bachelor of Engineering and appropriate additional qualifications in Risk and/or Safety Engineering would also be essential. Required Experience
• Minimum 10-15 years in upstream and downstream Hydrocarbon industry
• Minimum 5 -10 years in a risk engineering role
• Minimum 5 years project development of onshore and offshore oil and gas developments.
• Experience providing risk and safety services on major projects
• Experience working with EHSMS systems Most Appropriate/Relevant Enabling Competencies

• Leading Technical Strategy Successful candidate should be self motivated, have an in depth knowledge of Safety and risk engineering principles and project scope management. Key Internal Relationships would be with PMO Project Team Members, Project Managers, Project Leaders, EHS Team and Risk Team. Key External Relationships would be with Technical committees and contractors.
