100-890 Staff Planning Engineer (Brisbane) (Large, Public, Producer)

Our client is currently searching for a Staff Planning Engineer responsible for the planning and scheduling activities associated with coordination of Development Major Projects, including establishing scheduling and cost management processes.
Key Accountabilities
• Development and administration of integrated Planning and Scheduling System based on P3e
• Ensuring existing and new planning processes, procedures and systems are implemented across the projects and assisting with continuous improvement reviews.
• Proactively working with Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure the planning and risk assessment process accurately reflects the work scopes and requirements
• Facilitating set-up of new projects with procedures and tools and providing guidance to project team personnel on schedule issues
• Maintaining an up-to-date database of all project schedule performance, schedule progress and latest forecast completion dates. Candidate would require a relevant engineering degree along with a minimum of 15 years experience working for upstream Oil and Gas, minimum 5 years experience working in a similar role on major oil and gas projects (LNG, offshore and onshore), extensive experience in planning and scheduling for oil and gas projects from concept through to FEED and execution to start- up and handover, and experience with integrated planning, risk analysis and scheduling systems. • Customer Service Focus Candidate should also have proven track record of result delivery in challenging projects, self motivated with ability to complete tasks with limited start-up definition and team player with ability to work in multi-discipline teams. Key Internal Relationships would be with Development Major Projects, Project Managers, Project Leaders and Operations and Production Managers. Key External Relationships would be with Contractors.
